Hi guys, I'm a new member today and I'm in need of some advice. I've narrowed my search for a cab to match up with my orange tiny terror head down to:
A Dr Z 2x10 with z's custom speakers and A Dr Z 1x12 with a celestion vintage 30
I'm mainly looking for some opinions on which cab would be better suited to lower volume applications such as playing in my house AND what the noticeable differences between the two would be when being played in louder applications such as band jamming/gigging?

The problem is, the Tiny Terror is so new, I doubt anyone has any idea what it sounds like. Hard to recommend speakers for an amp you've never heard...
Quite frankly, both your choices are good, you can't go wrong with either of them. I don't think the 2 cabs will differ that much as far as home volume is concerned. As far as playing louder, other here will have more experienced opinions than mine... but if it were ME, I'd go 2x10... 2 10" speakers will push more air than 1 12" speaker.

I agree, both are good cabinets. The 2x10 has a little more speaker surface (total square inches) than the 1x12. So it may move a little more air. But I'm willing to bet you will hardly notice a difference. Only if you could A/B them in the store.
I don't know anything about the Orange amp.

I was looking into an Orange Tiny Terror amp for myself after reading the specs.I would pair it with my Z best 2x12 cab, that should be killer.Turn it up and let it roar.

I went through the same delimma as you... 2x10 or 1x12. I went with the 2x10 with Z speakers and couldn't be happier playing in the same environment you mentioned. I've got a Maz Jr NR head and a Zvex Nano (1/2 Watt). Two different beasts, and both sound great through the 2x10. It has more bottom end than you might think. Either way you go, I'm sure you'll be happy.

Morays: If you've got an Orange head wouldn't you want an Orange cab?
