I had posted this in the KT45 section but I was wondering if there are any Dr Z amps that would be good for bass? Maybe the KT45 or Delta 88. I used a Fender Tone Master for years and liked that amp for bass but am wondering if there is a Dr Z that would work well?

Here's an earlier post on this subject. I'm quoting Janinedoubley Hope it helps. Another use for the KT-45 is as a bass amp. Dead serious! I used it in a power trio running the KT-45 into a Bag End 1 x 15" cab, not the coaxial one. It sounded like Jack Bruce/John Entwhistle all rolled into one! Be careful running it into a bass cab with a tweeter (should never have happened in the first place!). Would be curious to know if anybody else has used it as a bass amp and what cabs they have tried it into? Here's the thread drzamplifiers.proboards41.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=kt&thread=1116996144&page=1

Thanks. I had read in an old post on TGP by Myles where I think he was saying that the later Delta 88s have more clean headroom than the KT45s but am not sure if he meant that the Delta 88 was revised at some point to have more clean headroom or that by running it at 50mA it has more headroom. Myles if you read this and could clarify that would be great.
