I modified my WET Reverb pedal to take an expression pedal for the depth control. With the mix really high it ended up working like a sustain pedal. I am really liking it so far! Here's a quick demo vid (forgive the playing):

Very nice!
I do a similar trick with ducked delay on my Eventide Timefactor, set just shy of infinite repeats. The nice bonus of the delay is I can eliminate the dry signal, and then the sound is even more ethereal.
Cool idea with that reverb pedal- I will have to try it.

Thanks guys!
Mtlrecords: the WET eliminates the dry signal when the mix knob is full CW. To get the sounds on the vid I start there and then back off the mix knob until the dry signal just reappears.

Ah- I see. Very cool. Thanks for the info.
I prefer using reverb (or delay for that matter) for a dramatic effect like you do in the video, rather than as just adding ambience to normal playing. This can make it so the listener can't easily tell what is going on- is it a guitar, a synth pad, angels singing, etc.
Cheers!

O-Yeah. If I got a GT and it performs like it's said to I'm gonna base my pedal board around a tube unit for this exact reason. I'd use a Third Hand. Done it before with cheap pedal. Pretty cool. At that point my pedal board should be a Reverb, RMC, Dragon, & Volume pedal amp.
