I've been yearning for one of these for over a year but the price was a bit high for my comfort. I've tried various other chorus pedals but I kept coming back to this one so I waited. Today, Dr. Z dealer Gelb Music in Redwood City had an incredible sale on this pedal - only $199 brand new! EDIT: Street price is $299 They also had other boutique pedals with similar deep discounts but my pocket book could only handle this one. I really like how transparent it is. When I turn it on, the effect doesn't washout or overwhelm the original notes. I love the way the Maz 18 sounds and I really don't like when an effect colors the clean signal. Got it home and sounds awesome. Video

I have the exact same pedal too, love the sound, but thinking about taking out of my FX loop.
When I run it there, a volume increase happens when engaged.
Out front, it probably wont.
The reason I love it in my FX loop is that it starts my stereo signal, then goes to my stereo reverb.

I'm playing around with it and right now I like it in front of my AC plus which then goes into my Carbon Copy Delay.

I have one too and love it. Scott, there's an internal switch that will do away with that volume boost you're talking about. Check the Red Witch boards or your manual.

Very impressed w/ my Red Witch Deluxe Moon Phaser, which I also bought on big-time sale about a month ago from Humbucker. Makes me wonder if they're discontinuing the whole pedal line in favore of their new minis.

Makes me wonder if they're discontinuing the whole pedal line in favore of their new minis. Gelb Music had a one day discount on specific pedals that included these brands: Diamond, Carl Martin, Line 6, Tone Candy and Radial. I was told they weren't moving fast enough.

I know the switch your talking about... but I think my issue is the FX loop with this pedal. I have switched it, and I still get a volume boost with Chorus, but not Vibrato. FYI - Never move the position of the trim pot, that controls the dc bias on the bucket brigade chip. www.ultimate-guitar.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1395808

Gotcha, I've been running everything out front lately and kinda like the sounds I'm getting better than when I used the loop. I've read a few threads about that trimpot. Yeah, best to leave that alone. Great chorus!
